Sheep Mountain Quarter Horses is located in South Eastern Wyoming just outside of Laramie.
We are surrounded by beautiful scenary, wildife, historic landmarks, and geological wonders.
We are approximately 10 to 20 miles from the border of the Medicine Bow National forest (depending on which road you want to take) and are surrounded by numerous "plains" lakes.
The Laramie Plains are a major staging area for migratory birds for the Central Flyway Zone.
Just over Sheep Mountain is the Sheep Mountain Elk Refuge.
Woods Landing is a simple 10 miles away and is where cut trees landed as they were floated down the Little Laramie River for the railroad.
And a common sight on our property are herds of pronghorn antelope. Our property has been selected several times to host the "nursery" for different herds (nothing really special, the animals just feel safe on our land) and watching the newborn kids romp and play is just as much fun as watching our own foals do the same.
